FYI, I’m (BOMR) trying to send some much needed funds over to the Afghan Women’s Network. I can elaborate on the mountainous task these sisters have to over come years of exploitation and abuse at the hands of a previous Russia and Consequently the Taliban.

So, my close family and friends know what a qawwali nut I am…therefore, what better way to raise money than to use music from the region???? (well, in and around that region)

Im going to spinning qawwali on the nigh of the 14th…I dont think this has been done before, so come check it. It’ll be a sit-down kind of event, where people talk and drink tea while I kill the tunes….

I’ll play all things that fall under the Rubric of Mehfil…so, Geet’s, filmi Qawwali, Ghazals, “regular” Qawwali (LOL)…
